About Robin
Robin S. Bain is a Tennessee attorney whose practice is grounded in a deep understanding of individuals, children, families, and the legal systems that impact them. With a professional background spanning social work, public service, legislative affairs, and law, Robin brings a uniquely informed, compassionate, and strategic approach to every case she handles.
Robin earned her Bachelor of Social Work from Middle Tennessee State University and later completed her Juris Doctor at Nashville School of Law, graduating in 2024. She went on to earn her Master of Social Work in 2025, further strengthening her ability to advocate for clients navigating complex legal and personal challenges.
Before entering private practice, Robin spent seven years working directly with children and families as a Case Manager for the Tennessee Department of Children’s Services (DCS). In that role, she worked extensively with dependency and neglect matters, family preservation, permanency planning, and court involvement, experience that now gives her invaluable insight into juvenile court proceedings and child welfare cases.
Following her work as a case manager, Robin spent several years as a legal assistant, gaining hands-on experience in litigation support, case preparation, and courtroom procedure. She then advanced into a legal and legislative role with the Department of Children’s Services, where she worked for two years in rule promulgation, legislative affairs, assisting with policy analysis, statutory interpretation, and the intersection of law and public policy affecting children and families across Tennessee.
In June 2025, Robin transitioned into private practice, where she now represents clients in Criminal Defense, Family Law, Juvenile Court matters, Probate, Conservatorships, and Adoption. She is known for her ability to quickly identify core issues, explain complex legal processes in plain language, and advocate effectively both inside and outside the courtroom.
Robin is also a Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 31 Listed Mediator, certified in General/Civil Mediation, Family Mediation, and Domestic Violence Mediation. Her mediation training enhances her ability to resolve disputes efficiently while remaining fully prepared to litigate when necessary.
Robin is known for being thorough, prepared, and client-focused, with a reputation for balancing strong advocacy with empathy and professionalism. She believes that clients deserve not only skilled legal representation, but also respect, honesty, and clear communication during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.
She is licensed to practice law in the State of Tennessee and proudly serves clients throughout Franklin, Lincoln, Moore, Marshall, and Bedford Counties, and surrounding areas.
